Virgin Media is offering a limited number of free 15-minute video call sessions during the first three weekends of December, with an appearance from Rudolph the reindeer and a reindeer soft toy gift. Virgin Media are to auction some of the 'best' slots on their EPG, giving broadcasters the chance to pay for a better slot, in an effort to boost revenue. One such channel is 106 which has been empty since BBC Three closed.

Virgin Media One viewers will have to wait for The Six O’Clock Show as the schedule has changed.

As the name suggests, the popular chat show typically airs at 6pm on weekdays.

However, due to more news coverage the show has been pushed to a later time.

The 5.30pm news will now be an hour long, meaning The Six O’Clock Show will air from 6.30 to 7.30pm now.

This also means that Emmerdale has been bumped from 7pm and will now air at 7.30pm.

The Six O’Clock Show hosts Martin King and Muireann O’Connell addressed the schedule change on Monday’s show.

Though the time has changed, the team promised that the show will air for the full hour as usual with interviews and a cooking segment.

Another popular VMTV show is Ireland AM, which has adapted extremely well given the current situation.

While the hosts, such as Alan Hughes, Ciara Doherty, and Karen Koster, have appeared in studio — and two metres apart — they sometimes call into the show using Skype.

The new set-up has caused even more laughs in studio, in particular, Karen’s video calls complete with the younger members of her family.

The mother-of-three had the nation laughing when she attempted a Tik Tok challenge with her kids.

After a bit of a shuffle to get them ready to perform, Karen, her two boys, and daughter raced in front of the screen and gave it a go.

Another nice surprise for viewers — and the hosts — was when the camera went back on the three studio hosts who were told to give it a go.
