Hard Rock staff say there are more than 1,500 slot machines, six restaurants, and a pool inside the casino. Casino President Mark Birtha said he’s going local for as much as possible. Seventy percent of casino staff are from Yuba and Sutter Counties and the produce and spices are bought from local companies.

In one of the more secluded parts of California, a new Hard Rock casino and resort project is underway. The news came from the Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe of the Enterprise Rancheria. The project is being built near the current Wheatland’s Toyota Amphitheater. It is also just the latest of a number of new tribal casino projects underway across the US.
Glenda Nelson, the Tribal Chair, said that the goal of their government is to bring authentic and the most exciting type of hospitality, entertainment and gaming experience to their region. There, in the inner part of Northern California, the usual Cali industries are mostly not present. For the small community, the casino and resort could prove a vital source of job and development.
The project’s name is the Hard Rock Fire Mountain Casino. It will cover a 40-acre site and will be about 35 miles from Sacramento. Gary Bradford, the supervisor of the county of about 72,000 inhabitants, said that the Hard Rock Fire Mountain will firstly provide an increase in the construction industry. It will also provide more permanent jobs later on, as well as more options when it comes to dining and entertainment in the area. Because of this, he believes that the project is a great chance for the south Yuba County.

This is not the first attempt to get a casino in the same region. In 2002, the tribe wanted to create the Enterprise Rancheria Project but ended up in a range of legal battles against the state of California. The tribe did not fare well in these legal proceedings in the years after that. The epilogue of this was a complete halt to the project. It envisioned a 170-room hotel along with a bar, pool, restaurants, and a casino. The casino should have made a revenue of $200 million on an annual basis and bring in 2,000 permanent jobs.
Now, the tribe has not shared any details about their current casino development. The only certainty about it is the facts from the Moody Investment agency. According to their report, the casino resort is supposed to be completed before the end of 2019.
